By now you’ve probably heard that the Hummer is making a comeback — not as the old gas-chugging beast you remember, but as an all-electric truck from GMC.

We already know that the Hummer is expected to boast 1,000 horsepower, an astonishing amount of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of just 3.0 seconds. The Hummer might also be offered in both RWD and AWD configurations.

More recently, GMC has revealed that the new Hummer will also come with removable roof panels — promising plenty of open-air thrills as you drive this truck down the highways and byways of Freehold Township, New Jersey.

The Hummer’s removable roof panels will be offered as a standard feature. Per GMC, there will be four panels and a front T-bar, with no connector over the top of the front and rear windows. The removal process will be manual, but it’s designed to be easy enough for one person to handle. It’s not clear if the roof design will be soft top, hard top, or both.

The GMC Hummer doesn’t have a release date yet, but the excitement for this model is definitely growing here at Freehold Buick GMC. You won’t want to miss the Hummer when it arrives at our showroom in the coming months!
