2022 GMC HUMMER EV | Freehold, NJ

Those who remember the original HUMMER will recall a gigantic, gas-guzzling tank based on the U.S. military’s Humvee vehicle. While the new GMC HUMMER EV does retain its predecessor’s elephantine size, this electric version guzzles exactly zero gallons of gas as it thunders down the highway. And soon, you could see one on a road near you.

Edition 1 Pickup

The first production versions of the new GMC HUMMER EV Edition 1 pickup recently rolled off the production line and will be making their way to customers’ driveways very soon. The truck, which is built at Factory ZERO in Detroit, is based on the new GM Ultium platform, and GM estimates it can achieve a whopping 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque.

GM auctioned off the very first HUMMER EV with the VIN 001 back in March 2021 at Barrett-Jackson. The truck earned an incredible $2.5 million, and GM donated the proceeds to Tunnels to Towers, an organization that builds mortgage-free homes for injured veterans and first responders.

Reservations for Edition 1 models are sold out, but you can still make your reservation for other available HUMMER EV models. If you’d like to make a reservation, contact the sales experts at Freehold Buick GMC for more information.
