GMC revealed the all-new 2015 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty truck lineup yesterday in Texas. The new Sierra HD pickups will feature segment-leading capabilities including the highest payload and highest conventional trailering rating.
The 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD gain new and enhanced features that include standard StabiliTrak with Trailer Sway Control, enhanced cooling airflow, integrated cruise control, auto grade braking and diesel exhaust braking, EZ Life and Lower tailgate, CornerStep rear bumper, and upper ti-downs.
The new features will improve driving control, reduce brake wear, and enable the Duramax turbo diesel and 6.0-liter gas engines to better maintain full power under heavy loads and high ambient temperatures. The payload is rated at 7,374 pounds while the conventional trailering rating is set at 19.600 pounds.
Other features of the 2015 Sierra HD trucks include soft-touch instrument panel materials and door trim, inlaid door designs and triple door seals to reduce noise, a center console big enough to store a laptop, dual-density seat foam, IntelliLink, a rear vision camera, and My Media.
Look for the arrival of the new GMC Sierra HD trucks at Freehold Autos in Freehold, NJ in the first few months of 2014.
