The “car-parazzi” are out and about, trying to get a glimpse of the newest automobiles that will soon come to market. And the most recent sighting? A 2017 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 prototype, shielded by camouflage, has been spotted making its first test runs – both with a maximum payload capacity and an empty chassis.
“Much like the light-duty trucks we’ve seen before, the Sierra looks to be hiding a moderate front-end refresh, with a new front end, hood cuts, a revised grille and updated headlights,” according to Chris Doane.
Under the hood, an upgraded Duramax V8 turbo-diesel mated to a 10-speed transmission is rumored to power the newest heavy-duty truck with estimated power specs of an impressive 450-hp and 850lb-ft of torque.
While we look forward to the 2017 GMC Sierra spy shots turning into a production reality, until then, be sure to come visit us at Freehold Buick GMC to see the entire lineup of trucks and SUVs that GMC has to offer, today.
