No one likes their car to break down, which is why having something you know you can depend on is so important. In the recent J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, Buick placed second. This was an improvement over last year, when it placed fifth.
Buick’s ranking is the highest of any domestic brand, and according to the study, Buick vehicles were 34% more reliable than the industry average. The study is based on owner-reported problems with model year 2012 vehicles in the third year of ownership.
“Buick’s ranking is a testament to the fact that we on the leading edge of reliability, quality and customer service,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick, in a statement. “More and more customers are visiting the Buick showroom because we put these values at the core of every model we bring to the market.”
In addition to Buick’s overall ranking, the Buick LaCrosse came away as the most reliable car in the Large Car segment and the Buick Enclave came in second in the Midsize SUV segment.
