General Motors has unveiled its new 2015 Buick Envision at the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show in China this past week, making us anticipate the premium compact crossover reaching American soil as well. The styling of the Envision resembles that of other Buick models, which you can see for yourself at Freehold Buick GMC, but its eco-footprint is closer to those of other similar small luxury crossovers like the Acura RDX and the BMW X3.
“In China, the Envision will be powered by a direct-injected, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine partnered with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The all-wheel-drive system is new for GM, and features two electronically-controlled multi-plate clutches in the rear axle that automatically distribute torque as needed” says Green Car Reports. The U.S Envision, however, could feature a different powertrain when it arrives as a 2016 model.
For maximum fuel-efficiency, the U.S Envision could have the fuel-efficient Ecotec engine that will help the vehicle top the headlines. The Ecotec is also expected to make another appearance under the hood of the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze.
