We hope you had a happy Thanksgiving spent with family and friends. Did you catch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? If you did, you probably spied some GMC trucks towing some of the amazing floats.
“We’re excited to continue this pairing of two iconic American brands,” said Sandra Moore, director of GMC advertising, in a press release. “It’s a grand stage to display the unique design, advanced engineering and capability of GMC trucks, complemented by these remarkable floating works of art.”
This was the 33rd consecutive year that the GMC brand has helped with the parade. The intricate, colorful floats can weigh up to 8,000 pounds and be as much as 50 feet long and 40 feet tall. But this is no match for the GMC Sierra, which can tow up to 11,500 pounds.
More than 50 GMC trucks participated in the parade, including the 2014 GMC Sierra, Yukon Denali, and Acadia Denali.
Is watching the Thanksgiving Day parade part of your family’s tradition? Which float or performance was your favorite?
